Just want to wish a happy birthday to our oldest, Christopher. He turns 15 today. Out of the house in 3 years... YES! We love you, Chris. Enjoy your day.

Today, Cassidy Rene Daniel turns 11. Shell be headed off to start Junior High School in a couple of weeks but today, she celebrates with Her Grandmother in Virginia. We love you and miss you, Cassidy. See you soon.

Today is my mother’s birthday. She is – – years old.   My mother is a blessing that’s really hard to describe. She made a lot of sacrifices when we were young to give us the opportunities we have now. When that sacrifice is put it in perspective, the impetus is on all of us to make the most of our lives, and do our best to secure the blessings of the next generation. I thank God that she is part of our lives today, filling a much needed, all too forgotten role in the family unit. The kids can lean on her as a trusted confidant, she provides continuity for our family history and – most of all – she serves as a living example of what true faith in God is. Happy birthday, Mom. God bless you

We spent 75 percent of this day on the road so, I am typing this message at Gary and Tawanna’s house. A 16+ hour road trip used to be nothing for the Daniel family but, this one has us all sore in every place that hasn’t gone numb. Well, God brought us here safely so, the complaint department is closed.  Gonna hear Bishop Jeff Poole preach tomorrow morning to round out the trip. It’s always good to spend time with family.

We just wrapped up a wonderful visit from the Richard Family: Chris, Teddy and Dillon. I got to fire up the grill Shawn got me for my birthday and, they became the first people outside of the Daniel Family to sample Shawns out-of-this-world banana pudding recipe. To top things off, we got an unexpected but very special house-warming gift that also warmed our hearts. If you're reading this, thanks for visiting and we hope to see you again soon.

Okay, January should just be called The Birthday Month for our family. Katrina Robinson is 27 today. Hey, Trina - just two more years before we stop mentioning the exact number. God bless you and the whole Robinson family

We just want to wish Regina LeDee a very Happy Birthday today. God bless you in all that you do.

Today, our grandmother and the kids great grandmother turns 90. God is good! We wish her well today and pray Gods blessings on her. On a side note, today is day 9 of the Daniel Fast. The hunger has normalized and allowed for some introspect. Tomorrows the last day but, the changes in diet have given us something to incorporate into our daily routines.

If you’re wondering what happened to days 2 through 5, I was hungry – plain and simple.  All seems to be going fine and the hunger spikes and then retreats on an unpredictable schedule. Shawn probably has it worse since there are always different flavors in her workplace during lunch. The kids are only partially with is, since they went to school this week but, their first full day was today and they did okay. I’m since as long as no one talks about steak, shrimp, cake, ice cream, pie, pudding, pancakes, Belgian waffles, eggs, biscuits, yeast rolls, or any other great foods. I’m babbling now and that’s because I’m hungry. Well, off to think about stuff.  Only four more days to go.
